Our success in 2025 proved what is possible, but it was only the beginning. As we look toward our next scholarship award ceremony in August 2026, the stakes are higher than ever.
Our 2026 Goal: Double the Impact
For the 2026 cycle, UPLIFTED is committed to a 100 percent increase in scholarship awards. They plan to move from 10 scholars to 20 or more. The focus will remain on orphans and girls facing the double disadvantage of poverty and gender inequality.
Our application portal opens on Easter Monday, 6 April 2026, for six weeks. Based on current trends, we expect over 200 applications from across West Africa. Each application represents a capable student standing at the edge of the tertiary cliff.
Beyond Funding: Building a Movement
UPLIFTED is growing beyond a scholarship fund. We are becoming a voice for those priced out of higher education. We are building partnerships with UK-based diaspora networks and West African universities. Our goal is to create a stronger, more sustainable ecosystem of support.
