UPLIFTED achieves major milestones in 2025

Within the same year, UPLIFTED achieved two major milestones: we became a registered Charity and successfully raised funds to sponsor the university education of 10 young people in West Africa, including orphans and high performing students from underserved backgrounds

These milestones represent more than organisational progress for us, they show real lives changed through access to education.

Award recipients who attended the ceremony all shared their immense gratitude for the initiative.

Turning Support into Opportunity

On 1 August 2025, UPLIFTED hosted its inaugural scholarship award ceremony at the HACEY Head Office in Lagos State, Nigeria. The ceremony was delivered in partnership with HACEY, a social development organisation with a strong track record of community-led impact.

The event brought together scholarship recipients, their families, school leaders, community members, and HACEY beneficiaries. It created a space where education, mentorship, and aspiration met.

These moments grounded UPLIFTED’s mission in lived experience, thereby highlighting why sustained educational support matters.

The scholarship awards and ceremony received independent coverage from the Vanguard Newspaper and NTA Lagos (Channel 10). This recognition reinforces UPLIFTED’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and impact.

Looking Ahead

2025 laid the foundation for the UPLIFTED. The focus now is continuity, supporting scholars through their academic journeys and expanding access to opportunities in the years ahead.

We say a big thank you to all our co-hosts, sponsors, scholars, families, and friends for making 2025 an impactful year.
